About Family Friendly trip
This is an excellent cave to experience going underground for the first time. A half mile countryside walk from the Mendip Outdoor center offers fun on the approach for children and families and a chance to see other mine entrances along the way.
Once at the Levy, a simple crouch will bring you into the Levy entrance and easy walking is possible for a few hundred meters.
Wellies are a must as water is often found in here, but usually remains below ankle height and is more often replaced by mud.
There are a couple of extensions to the cave that a more experienced caver may explore and these can be seen on your way further into the Levy.
All in all, a simple, yet fun cave to visit
